Computing Intent

The intent of our Computing Curriculum is to engage and motivate all children through a wide range of opportunities to learn and enjoy Computing. Children then develop as life-long passionate learners and through the teaching of Computing children are well prepared for the next stage of their journey beyond primary school . Children have engaging opportunities to use a range of technology to create multi-media products that can be linked throughout our progressive curriculum.

Pupils will become respectful and responsible confident e-learners, using ICT to enrich, enhance and extend their prior learning. Our curriculum aims to deliver the skills and knowledge needed for successful and productive future use of ICT in any aspect of the children’s lives. Pupils are empowered to use technology constructively and creatively to solve problems, meet challenges and to present their work with pride. In order to equip our children for this technology-rich future, we strive to develop their critical thinking skills and encourage an exposure to a range of technology so that they may adapt to new technologies as they arise.
